Mao's Ancestral Hall is a brick-wood building located at the foothills of Yinfeng Mountain. In 1925, Mao Zedong once held a peasant night school here. There is now a family exhibition of Mao Zedong in the hall.
Mao's Ancestral Hall includes the three Ancestral Halls of Mao's Family.The Maozhengong Ancestral Hall is located under the Muzi Mountain. It is the Zheng branch ancestral hall of the Mao family, with a construction area of nearly 1,000 square meters. Mao Zedong returned here in June 1959 when he returned to Shaoshan. Mao Jiangong Ancestral Hall is located in Shaotuo Hill. It is the Jian branch shrine of the Mao family.
The three Mao's ancestral halls are all built in the pleasant scenery of Shaoshan Village, blending with the surrounding mountains and forests, each with its own characteristics.
