Jinggangshan is located in the center of the Luoxiao Mountains in Jian City of Jiangxi province, on the border with Hunan province. The scenic area is surrounded by steep forested mountains that rise to well over 1000 meters above sea level. The landscape is dotted with unusual rock formations, ancient trees, waterfalls and caves. The Jinggang Mountains are an excellent place to appreciate the natural scenery and learn about the area's history – the mountains are known as the birthplace of the Chinese Red Army and were an important base for Communist forces during the war against the Nationalists.

Known as the “cradle of China’s revolution,” Jinggang Mountain is consecrated ground soaked in the blood of martyrs. There are many famous revolutionary cultural sites here, and many relics of the revolution of the Red Army of Chinese workers and peasants during the early stage of the Agrarian Revolutionary War. There are dozens of locations featuring well-preserved revolutionary buildings that have left behind a precious intangible treasure for later generations - the Jinggang Mountain Spirit. Jinggang Mountain is not just rich in historical significance, it also has a healthy natural ecosystem and strikingly beautiful natural scenery. The area has all the mountain peaks, boulders, karst caves, hot springs, exotic plants and animals, and high mountain countryside you could ever want.

Jinggangshan Scenic Area AAAAA Scenic Area "Cradle of Revolution" - Jinggangshan is located in the southwest of Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province. It is "the first batch of national key scenic spots", "one of the forty best tourist attractions in China", "China's excellent tourist cities", "National 5A Scenic Area" and "National Nature Reserve". In October 1927, Mao Zedong led the Autumn Harvest Uprising troops to Jinggangshan, and created the first rural revolutionary base area in China. He initiated a revolutionary road with Chinese characteristics "encircling the city with the countryside, seizing the political power with armed force". From here, the Chinese revolution went to victory, and Jinggangshan was therefore praised as the "cornerstone of the Republic".
