The West Sea Stone Peaks Forest is one of the top wonders in the West Sea Scenic Spot in Suoxyu Natural Reserve Zone,Wulingyuan District of Zhangjiajie City.
The West Sea Scenic Spot is an unfathomable "barrel" -shaped valley surrounded by mountains. And it is also a basin-like landform with a collection of peaks and woods.
In the large basin, Hundreds of strange rocks grow up from the ground to stand like a group of brave troops. Especially, the Imperial Writing Brushes Peak is praised as the logo of Zhangjiajie, and it is also the outstanding person in the West Sea Scenic Spot.
In this basin, numerous peaks stand with different shapes and poses, covered with lush vegetation. Therefore, it is also called sea of trees and sea of peaks. When the clouds rise up, it looks more magnificent and spectacular.
In spring or summer or a clear day immediately after a rain in autumn, the clouds are surging and rolling like waves, covering the whole sky and earth. The view is so magnificent that it is called sea of clouds. The combination of the three seas is the characteristic of West Sea.

How to get there: 1. Hiking from the Ten-mile Natural Gallery or from Sansuo Shuttle Bus Station at the foot of Tianizi Mountain; 2. Take Tianzi Mountain Cable Car up to Tianzi Mountain, then go to Helong Park or Tianzi Pavillion; 3. Take Shuttle Bus from Yuanjiajie or Yangjiajie to Helong Park.
