Wulong Village, also 乌龙寨（Wū lóng zhài）in Chinese, or Wulong Stockade, is an important attraction in Yangjiajie Scenic Spot, Wulingyuan Scenic Area,
Zhangjiajie City. Wolong Village is one of the most dangerous attractions of Yangjiajie Scenic Area. It is a fastness of bandits in ancient time. The village is about 300 meters (330 yards) high and surrounded by steep cliffs. Only a 1,000-meter-long (1,094 yards) path leads to the village. Besides, a number of natural barriers stand along the path.
Wulong Village was original named "Heilong Village" , Wulong Village was the place where the bandits lived in western Hunan before 1949. It was renamed Wulong Village according to the TV series "Wulong Mountain Bandits". This is also the most dangerous place in Yangjiajie Scenic Spot. The cottage is built on the mountain, and there is an only road up and down the mountain, which requires hands and feet to climb to the top of the mountain.
To reach the top of the mountain, you must go through three passes which are also called "Three Ghost Gates ". The first is "the pass difficult to do", the second is " the Pass who dares not to bow your head" , and the third is " Only One Pass".
Here, the mountain road is rugged and natural barriers in the road, there is a momentum of "one man is at the gate, the other is not open". In addition to this dangerous mountain road, the scenery of Wulong Village is also very beautiful. The scenery on the top of the mountain is quite wide, with strange stone peaks and unique landscape. The stone forest here is arranged in an orderly manner, as if it is a lined soldier.
In Wulong Village, the terrain is extremely dangerous, and the mountain roads are very rugged and difficult for tourists to walk. Before going up the mountain, you must make preparations to avoid the embarrassing situation of getting up and down.
It will take you 2 hours to walk up to the top of the mountain. And it is also really the hardest mountain to climb in
Zhangjiajie. But it is really worth it. When you reach the top of the mountain, you can see the natural Stone Great Wall, which is very spectacular.
There are monkeys in the mountains. Pay attention to your own things, especially don't hold the plastic bags in your hands, and don't take out whatever you eat, so as to avoid being robbed by the monkeys and causing danger.

How to get there:
1. Take Shuttle to Wulongzhai or Yangjiajie Shuttle Bus Station from Tianzi Mountain or Yuanjiajie.
2. Take cable car up from Yangjiajie Cable Car Station, and then walk to Wulong Village.
