Zhangjiajie Giant Salamander Museum, Located in Wulingyuan District of Zhangjiajie City, is also known as Zhangjiajie Giant Salamander Science Museum which integrates  knowledge, interaction, scientific research and artistry about Chinese  Giant Salamander. 

Adopting advanced audio, light and electric interactive multimedia display techniques, taking the geological evolution of the rare Zhangjiajie landform in the world as the background, integrating science, tourism and art into one, Zhangjiajie Giant Salamander Museum is opened to pulic so as to make more and more poeple  unveil the mystery of Giant Salamander, understand the comprehensive value of Giant Salamander. And let every visitor can enjoy science travel knowledge in a delightful excursion.
 

There are more than 10 exhibition areas including Bio-Vientiane, Earth Ice Crystal, Ancient Seal, Plant Promenade,  Giant Salamander Homeland, Exploring  Giant Salamander, Ancient Gifts, 4D Motion Theater. Among them,  Giant Salamander Homeland has performed a new and exciting Zhangjiajie four season's love song with multimedia interactive technology.
 

Cooperated with Dalian Ocean University and the Far East Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences.  Zhangjiajie Giant Salamander Museum has established a production base for the Giant Salamander Breeding Base, the Giant Salamander Research Base, and the Giant Salamander Research Products, such as healthcare, beauty, skin care, cosmetics and other products.

After opening in August 2010,  Zhangjiajie Giant Salamander Museum was awarded the “Hunan Provincial Science Base” by the Science and Technology Department of Hunan Province.
