Tongtian Avenue

Tongtian Avenue , means the  avenue toward Heaven, offers 99 turns symbolizing that Heaven has nine palaces. The Tongtian Avenue has a well-deserved reputation as a wonder highway of the world. Through Tongtian Avenue, one reaches directly the Tianti – a celestial ladder from the top of which a celestial-like scene comes into view. There are altogether nine hundred and ninety-nine steps in the Tianti (a vocabulary originated from Daoism, comparable to heaven in Christianity) which runs to the Heaven Gate. It is also the religious site for praying for happiness. There is a 6-meter wide avenue built for this scenic spot. Many rock climbers enjoy climbing the cave  walls. To reach the platform towards the cave you have to travel along a spiral  road known as Tongtian Avenue. The view from the long and winding road looks  just like a dragon ascending from the mountains and is a wondrous sight. It's  impressive just how the ancient Chinese were able to build structures like  this.

This glass skywalk allows tourists enjoy breathtaking views of Tianmen Mountain. The Glass Skywalk safely offers thrilling views of the surrounding mountains. The cleaners of the path make visitors wear cloth shoes over their footwear, in order to make their walk easier and less scary.
