Chrysanthemum core pomelo is the specialty that best represents the local characteristics of
Zhangjiajie. It is produced in Hujiahe Village of Yongding District and Fengxianggang Village, Sangzhi County.
Because the umbilical part of the country has obvious radiopaque and strong indentation, the cut peel of the Chrysanthemum core pomelo can be seen as the name of the flower. The inner of the Chrysanthemum core pomelois yellow and red, soft and juicy, tender and sweet, and is known as the "Pomelo King".
According to legend, Chrysanthemum core pomelo was discovered and planted by Hu's ancestors in the Qing Dyansty(1644-1911). It is a unique local variety of red meat and sweet pomelo.
