Taroko National Park

Taroko National Park is the fourth "national park" in Taiwan Province. It is located in the eastern part of Taiwan Island and straddles the three administrative districts of Hualien County, Taichung County and Nantou County. In the park, there is the first east-west crossing highway in Taiwan Province, called the Zhongheng Highway.

Taroko National Park is famous for its magnificent marble valleys. Cliffs, caves, forests, winding tunnels, and streams can be found everywhere. Many rare animals and plants inhabit the park, such as tree frogs, pangolins and fir forests. In addition, the mountains in the park retain many relics of ice age, such as sansho fish. Taroko has also become the name of the train of the Taiwan Railways.

Its main buildings include Changchun Temple, Yanzikou, Jin Heng Park, Jiuqu Cave, Cimu Bridge, Tianxiang; the main natural landscapes include Zhuilu Cliff, Liufang Bridge, Dayuling, Buluo Bay, Shakadang Trail, Lvshui Confluence Trail, Qingshui Cliff Trail, Baiyang Trail, Huoran Pavilion Trail, Lotus Pond Trail, Golden Canyon.

In order to build Taroko, many people died in the line of duty, and neither the number nor the name can be accurately counted. The main roads built 70 years ago are still practical today. An earthquake occurred in Hualien, but Taroko is still intact.
There used to be troops stationed above Taroko, and there were hospitals and schools. However, the construction process was extremely difficult, and many people died in the line of duty. After listening to what Lao Zhou said, I feel that Taroko is indeed a miracle!
