Golmud Railway Station, located in Golmud City, Haixi
Mongolian-Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province, is the meeting point of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway and the Dunhuang-Tibet Railway. Golmud Station was built in 1979. The renovation was carried out in 2017, and the renovation was completed to officially put into use on October 31, 2019.
The total construction area of Golmud Railway Station is 36,729 square meters, of which the main station building area is 14,974 square meters, the canopy building area is 16,873 square meters, the entrance hall area is 2,440 square meters, the waiting hall area is 2,764 square meters, and the ticket office area is 400 square meters.
Golmud Railway Station is composed of five parts: main station house, passenger entry bridge, platform canopy, passenger exit tunnel and luggage passage. The whole station is set up as a basement floor and two floors above ground. The basement floor is the exit floor, the ground floor is the entrance floor, the ground floor is the waiting floor, and the entrance and exit stations are "up and down." Among them, the first floor of the station building is the outbound floor, which is mainly equipped with functional rooms such as outbound passages and outgoing halls; the upper floor is the inbound floor, which is mainly equipped with the entrance hall, ticket hall, luggage hall and office room.
