Tuotuohe River

Tuotuohe River is located in south of the Kekesili Mountain Range, Tanggula Mountain Town, South of Golmud City, Qinghai Province.  When it originated from the Jianggendiru Glacier in the Gladdandong Snow Mountain, the Tuotuohe River was a stream formed by the melting water of glaciers and ice buckets.  The water surface is only 3 meters wide and only 0.2 meters deep, and then flows more than 9 km north to collect  the glacial melt water of Gaqiadiru Snow Mountain at the foot of Paton Mountain. Passed through a valley of about 15 kilometers, the Tuotuohe River continues to run northward, which is divided into two small rivers. There are many cobweb-like streams in the valleys on both sides of the small rivers. This is the upper source of the Tuotuo River.

Around the Tuotuo River , there are some attractions such as the First Bridge of the Yangtze River, the Monument to the Source of the Yangtze River, and the Kekexili Protection Station.,

Tanggula Mountain Town, also known as Tuotuohe Town, is the first market town on the upper Yangtze River. The Qinghai-Tibet Highway passes by, and there are some hotels that can stay in the town.
