Golog Baiyu Monastery


Golog Baiyu Monastery, built in the early Qing Dynasty(1644-1911), is loacted on the hillside south of Baiyu Town, in Jiuzhi County,  Golog Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province. It is one of the three major Ningmapa temples in the Kangba Tibetan area. The Baiyu Temple has a lot of classic halls and temple buildings spreading over the entire hillside, which is spectacular.

In Golog Baiyu Monastery,   eight Buddhist activities are often held each year. The largest acttivity is the "Ten Days of White Jade" from March 1st to March 10th in the Tibetan calendar. There are activities such as sun-bathing Buddha, jumping arrears and performing Tibetan operas.
