Guide National Geopark
Guide National Geopark is located on the northeast side of the Yellow River in Guide County, Hainan Prefecture, Qinghai Province, about 70 kilometers away from downtown Xining. The Guide National Geopark is famous for its colorful Danxia landforms. It includes scenic spots such as Ashigong Scenic Spot, Yellow River Valley, Mawu Gorge, but the most important scenic spot is Ashigong Gorge Scenic Spot.
When coming to the Ashigong Gorge Scenic Spot, tourists first visit the Guide National Geopark Museum, and then take a sightseeing car to go around the 2 km to enter Nuwa Gorge. It usually takes 2-3 hours visiting
The area of Danxia landform here is not large, but it has the characteristics of colorful colors and diverse shapes. It is very good to take pictures. There is a soil mountain in the Nuwa Gorge that shows the shape of a clay figure, which is very realistic. It is said that this was the remaining clay puppet when Nu Wa made a man. Another sight-seeing is the Thousand Buddha Cliffs, it looks like ten hundreds of Buddhist monks sitting together in meditation, which is particularly spectacular.
In addition, in the scenic area of the pond and river, you can also capture the scene of the red cliffs behind the turquoise water, which is also an excellent resort for large-scale photography. Visitors can enjoy shooting here, and then return to the scenic gate by sight-seeing car to end the tour.
