Zhunti Temple
Formerly known as "Jiangxin Temple", Zhunti Temple is located on trail to the Guanjing Hill, near by the
Huilong Pavilion in Fenghuang Ancient Town. If it is not a holiday or a Buddhist festival, there are not many tourists here, and it is very quiet and solemn.
Originally built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and rebuilt during the Qing Dynasty(1645-1911), Zhunti Temple has a history of more than 600 years. It is the only Buddhist place in Fenghuang Ancient City and it was praised as the eight sceneries of Fenghuang Town in ancient times.
In Zhunti Temple, there are two bronze Buddha statues donated by the famous painter Mr. Huang Yongyu. One of them is "Zunti Bodhisattva", which is a precious historical relic. And that is a perfect combination of religious culture and art. In addition, Mr. Huang Yongyu painted 10 exquisite murals for the temple, which is well worth a look.
