Qingchuan Pavilion, also called Qingchuan Tower, was built in the Emperor Jiajing’s years of the Ming Dynasty(1368-1644) for Great Yu, and its name comes fromthe famous poet CuiHaoofthe Tang Dynasty. Now, Qingchuan Pavilion and the Yellow Crane Tower stand on both banks of the Yangtze River respectively, facing each other and enhancing each other’s beauty. It is regarded as A fantastic Scenic Spot Through Ages.

The Yu Tablet Pavilion is oneofthe few existing Qing Dynasty wooden buildings in Wuhan. According to the legend, after Great Yu tamed the flood, his achievement was carved on a stone, whichwas called the Yu Tablet later.The Yu Tablet carried 77 characters in all, whichispeculiar and difficult to be identified. The Iron Gate, Chubo kiosk and Dayu Myth Garden are located by where the Yangtze River and Hanjiang meet - the Nanan Zhui. Due to similarity with Germany Cape, it is called Chinese Cape.
