Longsheng Mushrooms are known as "the peak of plant food" and "the essence of vegetarian food". They can also be used as medicine in addition to food. They have high nutritional value and anti-cancer effects. Longsheng mushroom products have good color, tender and smooth meat, delicious and no pollution.

Longsheng has an excellent ecological environment and is a good place to grow green shiitake mushrooms. Longji Terraced Field Scenic Area belongs to the central subtropical monsoon climate area, with abundant rainfall and pleasant climate. The average annual temperature is 18.1 ℃.  It is suitable for growing mushrooms. 

On April 15, 2013, the former Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China officially approved the implementation of registration and protection of agricultural geographical indications for "Longsheng Mushroom".
