History of Nanning
Nanning has 1,680 years history which was first started to build as Jingxing County in 318 during the Eastern Jin Dyansty. In 634 during the Tang Dyansty, Jingxing was renamed Yizhou, hence, the city is also called  Yi for short. In 1314 during the Yuan Dyansty, the city was changed its name as Nanning, which means " south peace
" in Chinese. Nanning was founded as the capital of Guangx Zhuang Autonomous Regioni in 1958.
