Nongguan Ecological Park, known as White-headed Langur National Nature Reserve, is located in Chongzuo, Southwest of Guangxi.It is a protected nature reserve for white-headed langurs. In the entire world, these long-tailed monkeys are found only in the southwest Guangxi region. At present there are only seven hundred remaining. Because their survival is so endangered, they are treated with the same level of care reverence as China's national treasure, the Panda.

White-headed Langur National Nature Reserve can be divided into 4 areas, including Bapen, Daling, Tuozhu and Banli. The Reserve primarily protects white-headed langurswhich are first grade wildlife under national special state protection list, andone of the most endangered primate in the world.

White-headed langurs were nominated by the white hair on their heads. They are endemic species distributed in Chongzuo which have been living here for more than 300 million years.They are the rarest monkeys in the world and have the same valueof research as panda.Hence they have earned Chongzuo the reputation as “Home of White-headed Langurs”. There are almost 1000white-headed langurs living in the Reserve and that is the largest population number in the world. Therefore the Reserve has been one of the 17 international critical regions of terrestrialbiodiversity in China

The Ecotourism Attraction is located in Banli Area of the Reserve with a total area of 115.5 hectares, and has been world-renowned because of over 400 white-headed langurs living here. Meanwhile there are many other endangered speciesunder national special state protection list, such as Francois’monkeys, macaques, cycads, golden camellias, and so on. TheEcotourism Attraction also has representative karst topography and forest ecosystems in southwestern Guangxi. On the base of these, theEcotourism Attraction have developed all kinds of activities, including science education, ecological sightseeing, scientific research, practice teaching, photography and video recording.
