When to visit Hinggan?
Hinggan enjoys a temperate monsoon climate with an annual average temperature of 4-6 ºC. It has cool short summer (about two months) and chilly long winter (five to six months). Precipitation becomes more common during June to August.  April to October is the most favourable time to visit Hinggan. 

How to reach Hinggan?
By Air: Ulanqab Airport is 17 kilometers northwest of the city proper, with direct flights to Beijing and Hohhot.
By Train: Baicheng (in Jilin) to Aershan and Tongliao to Hulinhe railways pass through Hinggan.
By Bus: National Highways No.111 and 302 run through the league from the south to the north. In the seat of the league government, Wulanhot City, the bus station can be found in East Xingqiao Street.

Hinggan Travel Tips
1.  With 5 billion cubic meters of water resources, Hinggan ranks 2nd in the autonomous region and is the water-spring of northeast China. With rich conditions for agricultural development it is also recognized as the “Golden Corn Belt” and the “best cattle farming belt”. 
2. Hinggan’s natural tourism resources are extensive. It has ten nature reserves of all levels and kinds, consisting of more than 666,000 hectares. Arshaan especially is a composite of National Geological Park and National Forest Park, and a typical experience area of conservation culture, with many natural features: hot springs, wetlands, volcanoes, glaciers, forests and prairies. 
3, Special Local Products: deer antler, bitter almond, black melon seed, edible fungus, dairy, ornaments and handcrafst of the Mongol ethnic minority (Mongolian knife, carpet, cap)
