Near to Huhhot, the most flourishing scenic spot is Huitengxile grassland, which is rare alpine meadow in China, so it is regarded as one of the top three attractions in Ulanqab City.On the misty Huitengxile grassland, you can see yellow flowers in June, white flowers in July, and purple, blue, and pink flowers flourishing in August.
Here the summer is very charming. About 250 kinds of vegetation bloom and 10 kinds of wild animals come out, which are full of distinctive characteristics of Mongolian customs. Here visitors can put on Mongolian gowns, wear Mongolian boots, ride gallant horses or moderate camels wandering in the grassland. Visitors can also live in Mongolian yurts at night, listen to pastoral songs, count the stars and enjoy the natural beauty.
At the western end of the Huitengxile Grassland, there is a winding valley with a length of more than 10 kilometers and a ditch depth of about 300 meters. This is the Huanghuagou Valley, known as the famous scenic spots outside of the Great Wall. The climate here is unique, with an average temperature of 18 degrees Celsius in summer, a vegetation coverage of over 90%, and dozens of flowers.
The magic Ninety-nine Springs are like mirrors inlaid in the prairie, attracting tourists at home and abroad. "Ninety-nine Springs" are located in "Mount Huiteng Ridge", which means coldness in Mongolian because winter here is cold and windy and summer here is cool and comfortable.
No wonder the ancient emperors of northern nationalities regarded it as their summer resort. Now, the imperial place has become a civilian scenic area in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
