Nanri Island is located in the southeast of Putian City, Fujian Province. It is the main island of the Nanri Islands, the third largest island in Fujian Province, and the largest island in Putian City. It is also called sister island with Meizhou Island.

Nanri Island has a unique geographical location and serves as a window for expanding trade with Taiwan and foreign trade. It has always been a military powerhouse, and its Nanri Waterway is even more important for maritime traffic. The famous tourist attractions include Jianshan, Longtou Mountain Martyrs' Shrine, Nanri Island Martyrs Monument, etc., which produce Nanri abalone, which is one of the main abalone producing areas in China.

Visitors can choose to take the Putian EMU or city bus or private car to Shicheng Pier. The price is 11 yuan for the bus and 30 yuan for the private car.
