Taxia Tulou Cluster is located in Taxia Village, West of Shuyang Town, Nanjing County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. It is one of the three major Nanjing Tulou Clusters in Fujian Province.
Taxia Village, built along the creek, can be described as winning by scenery. Walking along the coast, whether it is a small blue brick building, a stone arch bridge that crosses a stream, or a cobblestone path in front of and behind the building, you can feel the charm of this typical Hakka village.
There are many kinds of shape earth buildings in the village .In addition to the common round and square earth buildings, there are also apron-shaped and curved-rule-shaped earth buildings here. What's more unique is that there are two round earth buildings at the bends of the winding creek.
Deyuantang is Zhang’s Family Temple in Taxia Village. In 2006, Deyuan Tang has been involved the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
If you spend 15 minutes climbing up to the viewing platform on the top of the hill, a panoramic view of the "Tai Chi" water village will appear in front of you.
If you want to visit Taxia Village, you can take the train to Nanjing Railway Station, and directly take the tourist bus outside the station. It departs every 1 hour, 20 yuan/person, and the journey takes 1.5 hours; or go to Nanjing Bus Station and transfer to the Tulou special line, 20 RMB/person; or chartered, about 40 RMB/person. And you can also take the bus to Tianluokeng at 8:30 at
Xiamen Hubin South Long-distance Bus Station, the fare is 55 yuan, and the journey takes about 3.5 hours
