Corner Tower in the Forbidden City


There are four  corner towers in the Forbidden City. Originally, they were used as observations of the Forbidden City for defensive purpose. The four corner towers are surrounded by a moat. With sophisticated architecture, the corner towers are monumental and unique.
 
The Forbidden City is surrounded by wall 3 meters in height, and an observation tower is built around the each corner. These towers have typical imperial architectural style. Multiple intersecting roofs and architectural details shows the wisdoms in ancient times.In the corner tower, you are bound to have a special viewpoint. For example, another interesting facet belonging to the Forbidden City can be  observed.
 
During your visit to the Forbidden City, there are a variety of interesting backgrounds in which photos can be taken. Outside of the Palace, for example, the towers offer a different view. The imperial palace is surrounded by a moat, which give the impression that the towers spring in the middle of a river. It is common that, as you wander through the northwestern of the Forbidden City, you will fall in love with this original view of the palace and definitely take photo in front of it.
