Yangcheng Lake hairy crab, also known as the golden claw crab, is living in Yangcheng Lake, Suzhou. The crab’s body does not stick to the mud, so it is commonly called as the clean crab. It has fat body, green shell, white belly, golden claw and yellow hair. With fluffy meat, its limbs are quite strong, which make it move quickly even on the glass.

When the autumn winds become cool and the chrysanthemums are in full bloom, it is the peak season for fishing the golden claw crabs. This year’s Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs fishing ceremony is tentatively scheduled on September 23. After that, the hairy crabs will be officially launched on a large scale.
