Tian Family Ancestral Hall


Tian Family Ancestral Hall is one of the two largest ancestral halls , the other is Yang Ancestral Hall, in Fenghuang Ancient Town. In 1837 during the Qing Dynasty (1645-1911), it was built by Mr. Tian Xingru who was born in Fenghuang Town and once served as the official of Guizhou Province.
 
Tian Family Ancestral Hall has national characteristics with ancient traditional style. It has  more than 20 houses such as the door room, main hall, stage,etc.  There are patios and sky ponds in the courtyard. It has two gates, "Five Fortunes Gate" and "Six Good Lucks Gate".
 
In front of the gate of the hall, it is a fan-shaped six-step stone stairs made of red sand-stones. There are a pair of stone-made drums and a pair of stone statues on both sides of the gate. The door is  full of style which is divided into three froms,such as the left, the middle, and the right. 
 
The main hall of the courtyard is magnificent, the stage is a hexagonal eaves building, and there are second rooms for the rest of the actors. The elegant and exquisite houses have exquisite workmanship and are full of charm.

Entrance Fees: CNY 50 ( this attraction entrance fee is not included the Fenghuang Town entrance ticket, visitor need to pay additional fees if you want to visit)
