Saihanba National Forest Park, a part of the Mulan Paddock,  is located in Weichang Manchu and Mongolian Autonomous County of Chengde City, Hebei Province, and it borders the Inner Mongolia autonomous region. Sanhanba National Forest Park is the largest of its kind in China. Some 55 years ago, forestry workers started to work there to change what was a desert into a forest. With vast grasslands and forests, lakes and hills dotted th beautiful scenery, it was a royal hunting ground in the Qing Dynasty(1645-1911).

​What to see? 

In the scenic area of ​​Saihanba Forest Park, there are large scenic spots such as Qixing Lake, Sun Lake, Taifeng Lake, White Birch Forest, and Moon Lake, as well as many small attractions such as Saihan Tower and Dianjiangtai. With both natural and cultural remains, you can drive by car or chartered after entering the scenic area.

Linchang Town is a small town where tourists who come to visit will all stay here. Among the main scenic spots, Moon Lake is on the east side, Qixing Lake and Taifeng Lake are on the north side, Taoshan Lake and Taiyang Lake are on the west side, and Yudaokou Scenic Spot is on the south side.

Qixing Lake is located 3 kilometers north of theLinchang Town. Surrounded by grasslands, the Qixing Lake has seven small lakes which are shaped like a Big Dipper. It is rich in water and grass and looks very beautiful.

Sun Lake is a circular lake that resembles the sun. There are dense forests next to it. In autumn, it is also a favorite photo spot for tourists.

Moon Lake is shaped like a crescent moon, and is characterized by a lot of windmills on the nearby grasslands. The photos here are very beautiful. In addition, there is a small amusement park at Moon Lake, with simple merry-go-round and other items. The lake can also be rowed, which is very suitable for children playing.
